Hello everyone! The Covid epidemic of the last few years has changed a lot of things and the enrollment activities of Hua Lian High School have been greatly affected. We were unable to visit schools to explain and answer questions about enrolling in Hua Lian High School as we did in previous years, but Primary 6 children still had to move up to secondary school and parents and children had to choose the secondary school they wanted to move up to.
1. Choosing to send their children to a national-type or national secondary school. This is a transfer from the Education Bureau, and it is indeed frustrating for parents and students if they are not assigned to the school of their choice;
2. Choosing to enrol their children in international schools. However, the cost of international schools is often a deterrent to parents, and the monthly expenses are very large and not easily affordable for the average family;
3. Choosing to enroll your child in our school ---- Hua Lian High School, a private Chinese secondary school, is also a continuation of choosing mother tongue education, i.e. from kindergarten, Chinese primary school to Chinese secondary school. It has the mission of giving children secondary education in their mother tongue.
All over Malaysia, from north to south, parents are competing to send their children to the independant schools, we can also choose the better school to give our children, parents can choose to send them to Hua LIan! The principal emphasizes that it is a choice. Parents are always welcome to visit Hua Lian High School during office hours to ask for details about further education and we will do our best to answer all questions from parents and their children.
Hua Lian High School is gradually becoming better equipped with the completion of a new integrated teaching building containing 10 classrooms, a spacious cafeteria that can accommodate 500 students at one time, a state-of-the-art lecture hall that can seat 300 students, and two covered basketball courts, among other facilities. We want to provide a good learning environment and at the same time enhance the quality of learning for the children. My vision is to provide a “humane and welcoming environment where students can learn and grow and be connected to the world of tomorrow”, which will be achieved through teaching strategies, classroom activities and enhancements in all areas. We are “committed to providing a quality education that emphasizes the concept of adult education”.
Parents are welcome to visit the school and speak with the principal, directors and teachers for more information. As long as your child is willing to learn, has the desire to continue their education, and chooses to go on to secondary school, Hua Lian High School welcomes them. We believe that children who choose to attend Hua Lian will make the most of their learning opportunities.

Parents and children living outside of Taiping can also choose to attend Hualian High School. Taiping is a beautiful place with excellent public facilities and was voted as one of the top three “World’s Most Livable Cities” at the world’s largest travel show held in Berlin, Germany in 2019. We offer inexpensive boarding facilities, and it is definitely a right and wise choice for parents to send their children to study in Taiping, so that they can learn to be self-reliant, self-disciplined and self-motivated!
